7th Annual Nephrology Young Investigators' Forum

We are excited to present the 7th Annual Nephrology Young Investigators' Forum. This event will be held January 29 - 31, 2009 at the Estancia Hotel in La Jolla, California.

The Forum will provide young investigators with the opportunity to:
• Present their original research orally and in poster format in an instructional environment.
• Meet and interact with their peers.
• Network with nephrologists in academic practice.
• Attend the Nephrology for the Consultant course to update their knowledge of contemporary topics in nephrology.

Nephrology fellows are encouraged to submit abstracts of original research in any area of basic or clinical nephrology by December 15, 2008 (submission opening soon). Abstracts will be reviewed by a panel of judges from several western medical centers and the top-rated abstracts will be selected for presentation. Participants will be invited to attend the Nephrology for the Consultant conference and will have the opportunity to interact with each other and with experienced researchers at a Forum welcome dinner and at the conference faculty dinner.

Travel, room expenses and registration to the Nephrology for the Consultant Course will be covered by an unrestricted educational grant.

Complete the information requested and type the text of your abstract directly into the space provided in the form. Once completed the file should be saved as "lastname_yif.doc" and emailed to the address provided on the form.

Eligibility Requirements
Eligible fellows should have less than 5 years of graduate level research experience and not yet received funding as independent researchers.
